Man Arrested After Holding Grandparents Hostage At Gun Point

Bealmear threatened to shoot his grandparents and himself

Clinton - Robert Bealmear, 24,  wrecked his car into a telephone pole before entering his grandparents home in Clinton, Indiana where he threatened to shoot himself.
After he exited the residence the grandparents locked the door and called 911. That's is when he re-entered the residence, kicking down the door, holding the grandparents hostage threatening to shoot them.
The grandparents escaped the home when Bealmear went into another room.
Police arrived on scene and after about 5 minutes Bealmear exited the home and was taken into custody.
He is now being held in the Vermillion County Jail for charges of criminal recklessness with a firearm, burglary with a firearm, and criminal confinement with a firearm.
His bond is set at 100 thousand dollars.
