A Sullivan County man has been arrested following a heroin death investigation.

According to Sheriff Clark Cottom, deputies and emergency crews responded back in October of 2017 to the report of an unconscious male at a residence in Merom.

First responders attempted to try and revive the male before transporting him to Sullivan County Community Hospital.

The unconscious male later died at the hospital.

The deceased male was identified as Langdon Bynum, 26, of Merom, IN.

An autopsy followed and Sheriff Cottom said after receiving results, it was confirmed that Bynum had died from a heroin overdose.

After further investigation, officials determined that Conner Wright, 26, of Shelburn was the person who supplied the heroin to Bynum, just hours prior to his death.

Detective Elliott and Deputy Justin Copeland made a trip to Bloomington, IN early Tuesday morning where they located and arrested Conner Wright.

Wright was charged with one count of Dealing in a Narcotic Drug.

He is in the Sullivan County Jail with a bond set at $15,000.
