Making Downtown Streets Safer

Local ISU students are looking to fight drunk driving through french fries. “The Startup Truck, LLC” is ran by three ISU students.

They’re looking to start the “Twisted Fry Food Truck” next fall. That will travel to bars to stop students from driving to get food during the overnight hours. Last school year, the group conducted a survey finding 45-percent of students admitted to drinking and driving to get food. The business partners hope to overcome that by bringing food to the students.

The City Council must change an ordnance first. They will discuss the changes this Thursday and vote the following.
