Locals in the community are bowling to show support for Pediatric Therapy

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Children’s Classic Roll is an annual event that benefits the Union Health Foundation Pediatric Therapy.

The event invited locals across the Wabash Valley to bowl for a great cause.

“The Pediatric Therapy Fund helps assist parents and guardians for children in need of many different types of therapy. Our Pediatric Therapy Unit at Union sees some 600 children a year,” Event Coordinator, Mike King, said.

Although the focus was having the children bowl, their parents were invited to bowl with them.

“We have three sessions of bowlers. We have nearly 360 kids and adults who registered for this event. Every penny raised today goes to the Union Health Pediatric Therapy,” King said.

Several elementary schools participated in the event, with the opportunity to win prizes.

The entry fee was $10 to participate and participants received a free t-shirt. Those who bowled, played one game.
