Veterans Day Parade expected to be the biggest turnout in 50 years

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Veterans Day Parade is set to take place on Monday morning at 10 on Wabash Avenue.

It was announced earlier this year that there would not be a parade due to the lack of help with planning.

However, the Local Veterans Battalion stepped up to make it their goal that the parade would still occur.

“That then got turned into a ‘wait a minute…we can’t allow this to happen. And all the veterans groups have stepped forward,” said Michael Egy, Local Veterans Battalion.

Parade organizers say over 75 participants have signed up to take part in the parade.

Organizers expect the parade to have the biggest turnout Terre Haute has seen in 50 years.
