TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) —A new record store opened its doors Saturday in the 12 Points neighborhood.

Local Vinyl celebrated national record store day with a festival complete with vendors, food, and live music.

There was a $5 admission fee, with 12% of proceeds being donated to the 12 Points Revitalization effort.

Eleanor Jones, store owner, said she is looking forward to finally having a shop for her collection.

“I am more relived than excited, if you will,” Jones began. “Because I’ve been carrying vinyl for the last three and a half years. So, this is the first time that they actually have a home and i can properly grow my collection now.”

The shop will be open every week from Thursday to Sunday.
