SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. – Work on the fall seal coat operation near Graysville is ahead of schedule, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
Tuesday, INDOT maintenance crews began a fall seal coat operation on State Road 154 between S.R. 63 and the Wabash River at Hutsonville, Illinois.
Crews were able to put down all of the new driving surface Tuesday, and throughout the day Wednesday will be sweeping the roadway of loose aggregate. Once complete, the road will be re-opened to all traffic.
INDOT noted that the project will not be complete until a fog seal coat is applied to the pavement and all lines are painted on the road, which will begin Monday. Both of those operations will be completed under lane restrictions.
