Local teen wins Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship

WASHINGTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A teenager from Washington, Ind., has won Food Network’s competitive baking show Kids Baking Championship.

The show began airing in August and featured children from around the country, including 13-year-old Trevin Alford of Washington.

His win included $25,000.

Kids Baking Championship started airing Aug. 12 and wrapped up Monday. The season included the competitors challenged with things like hedgehog poke cakes, pie art and giant doughnut cakes, according to Food Network.

Trevin got his big win by making a planet cake.
