Local teachers build teamwork through STEM activities

Local educators had a faculty meeting, but this one involved building robots!

Faculty from Sugar Grove Elementary School had their meeting at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum.

They took part in a lot of different STEM activities.

They learned things they can bring back for their students, while developing teamwork skills with their colleagues.

“I want the teachers to trust each other and to know that they can lean on each other, that they can take feedback from each other, that there are lots of good things in other classrooms. They can feel welcome to go into those other classrooms and learn things that they can take back to their own classroom,” says principal Teresa Stuckey.

The group also planned to go through the museum’s ropes course in the afternoon.
