Volunteers were up bright and early at Deming Park, Saturday, in an effort to replace trees.
Members of Trees Incorporated along with dozen of other volunteers planted 25 replacement trees throughout Terre Haute. The trees will be located along Ohio Boulevard and Margaret Avenue.
Brian Conley with Trees Incorporated says the trees are being planted due to others dying off or being removed.
Conley also says he believes the trees will improve the way Terre Haute looks.
“We believe that trees are a big part of our community and they’re so beneficial just for the beauty of the city,” said Brian Conley, VP of tree projects for Trees Incorporated.
Conley says in the fall his organization will plant an additional 100 trees.
