TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Fowler Park was the sight of a Zombie Apocalypse on Saturday as Halloween participants did their best to evade them during a 5K run.

Over 100 participants took part in the run, with families able to do some trick-or-treating afterwards as well as give thanks to FSA Counseling and Culinary Queens. Different local organizations and groups were set up, helping to give out candy to all the children.

All proceeds from the event go toward the FSA as they help those in need receive mental health help.

“As everyone knows we are in a mental health crisis and every dollar go towards our mission and that is to ensure services for uninsured individuals,” Christina Crist, director of FSA Counseling, said.

Crist said the event would not have been possible without the help of their sponsors.
