A West Terre Haute man pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct and received a four-year sentence Monday as part of a plea agreement.
Jesse Lee Clark originally faced two seperate charges of sexual misconduct; however, as part of the plea agreement, the two cases were combined.
Clark will serve one year of work release followed by one year of home detention, as well as two years of probation.
He will have to register as a sex offender and will not be allowed to have contact with minors.
According to court records, Clark will be legally permitted to attend his children’s school events and contact his children, step children and grandchildren.
Vigo County Chief Deputy Prosector Rob Roberts noted that it will be up to the school whether or not Clark will be allowed on school grounds.
The maximum sentence Clark could have received for his sentence was seven years.
