UPDATE: West Terre Haute water shut-off postponed, new post-Thanksgiving date to be announced

WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Shut-off of water service for maintenance on on a water line scheduled for today in West Terre Haute has been postponed until after Thanksgiving, the West Terre Haute Water Works announced Monday afternoon. Likewise, the subsequent boil order has been postponed.

Lori Porter, Utility Clerk for West Terre Haute Water Work, issued a statement today that read, “We will notify everyone of the exact dates and times later this week. We apologize for the inconvenience. … Thank you for your patience.”   

Water was originally scheduled to be turned off from 7:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. today in the areas of South 9 St. from National Ave. to Ferris St., including the Allison Trailer Park.
