SEELYVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — When a contractor hit a water main on Hunt Rd., some Seelyville Waterworks customers were without water today due to the break. Those who were without water are advised to boil the water they consume until further notice.
Indiana Department of Environmental Management regulations require testing the water before the restriction can be lifted. The city will issue another notice when the Boil Advisory is no longer needed.
Seelyville Waterworks customers may also receive text notifications by texting SEELYVILLEWW to 888-777.
The city also announced that hydrant flushing previously scheduled to begin today will begin tomorrow and continue into next week. Daily texts will be sent to define the area being flushed the next day. Information is also available by calling Seelyville Waterworks at (812) 877-2665.
