TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The annual Strawberry Festival will take place next week in downtown Terre Haute for the 35th year.

It will be Thursday, June 8 at First Congregational Church at 630 Ohio Street.

Serving will run from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

“Different bands will be playing, we have the children’s area set up this year so face painting and lots of activities for that. The pastor is going to do a tour of the church so lots of things going on,” Gwen Hicks, one of the organizers for the Strawberry Festival, said.

Hicks also said the money raised goes toward all the different programs that the church has.

“We have anonymous meetings in the church, we help Ryves Hall and different programs in the church and in the community so we contribute to that,” Hicks said.
