VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The YMCA of the Wabash Valley is opening its registration for summer programs.

Those interested can register before April 1 to waive the $40 registration fee. Spots can be reserved by phone (812-232-8446), online, or in person. The YMCA summer program is available for children in preschool through 8th grade.

Participants can choose from part-time or full-time enrollment and financial assistance is available. There are also extended camp hours for an additional weekly fee. Regular camp hours are 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The extended hours are from 6:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

The YMCA summer camp programs include weekly camp themes and offer daily breakfast, lunch, and snacks. 

Participants should wear closed-toed shoes and dress appropriately for the weather and for playtime. All children should bring the following items to camp every day:

  • Swimsuit
  • Towel
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle
