TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — As we head into the weekend on this Friday, here’s a look at some of the events and happenings you can plan for coming to the Wabash Valley this weekend.

Saturday:

Pancakes with Junie B. Jones and Friends will be held at Longhorn Steakhouse in Terre Haute from 8a.m. – 10 a.m. The community is invited to meet Junie B, That Grace, Lucille, Herbert, Sheldon, Bossy Head May, Gladys Gutzman, and all the rest and join them for all-you-can-eat pancakes! Tickets are $5. Kids under the age of 2 eat free!

SMWC Sacred Music Festival Guest Artist Presentation will be at the Allen Chapel in Terre Haute at 10 a.m. Guest artist Marques Jerrell Ruff, an acclaimed singer, conductor and scholar of Black music, will be presenting a musical discussion/performance. His presentation ‘The Evolution of the Negro Spiritual’ is a community discussion on the origins and development of the Negro spiritual from the period of enslavement to the present day.

Sunday:

The Red Skelton Museum hosts a FREE DAY Sunday with events from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. This week, there will be an exhibit honoring groundbreaking black citizens of Knox County. It’s located at 20 Red Skelton Blvd. in Vincennes.
