TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Local law enforcement officials on Wednesday announced they will not host a Wabash Valley Night Out this year.
“After careful consideration and speaking with other Law Enforcemt (sic) leaders, we have decided that for the safety of our community we will not be hosting this years (sic) Wabash Valley Night Out,” Terre Haute Police PIO Sgt. Ryan Adamson tweeted Wednesday.
The Wabash Valley Night Out is traditionally hosted by local emergency response teams including the Terre Haute Police Department and EMTs as part of the National Night Out program.
NNO is described as “an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.”
