TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Vigo County School Corporation superintendent Dr. Robert Haworth hopes to have a plan by Wednesday, July 7 on how students should return to schools in the fall.
The announcement came following Vigo County School board meeting Monday evening.
Haworth says he hopes to hold a public hearing on that plan on July 12. He says school officials will present the plan before giving audience members an opportunity to respond.
According to Haworth the plan that is currently under discussion meets a mandate to receive federal funding.
“Well, we’ll listen to what the governor’s going to say here at the end of this week. We’ll listen to what the CDC says about masking on buses. But yeah, we would like to be as normal as we possibly can be,” Dr. Haworth said.
Dr. Haworth wants to remind the public that there are still some precautions that will need to be put in place.
