Volunteers needed to help kids going through court system

Local News

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A program that helps almost 1,100 children met Tuesday to try and get more volunteers for their program.

The Vigo County CASA program assists local children going through the court system. CASA staff and volunteers spent Tuesday at Grand Traverse Pie Company talking about how to become a volunteer.

A portion of the days sales at the restaurant will help the CASA program help kids. The money will be used to buy bedding, clothing and pay for extra curricular activities.
