VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The PACT Act is a new law that expands veteran’s health care and benefits for those exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances.
The Marion VA Health Care System hosted a Veteran PACT Act Town Hall & Resource Fair at Vincennes University. Executive Director Zach Sage and the Executive Leadership Team spoke with those who attended to help them find resources and understand them. This law will help provide generations of Veterans with the care and benefits they’ve earned and deserve.
Regional Director Michael Stephens said it’s important for veterans to know what their benefits are.
“Education benefits, G.I. bill, to home loan guarantee benefits, compensation benefits for veterans that get hurt or ill on active duty, and in addition to burial benefits and also healthcare. So it’s important that veterans know what their entitlement is, so that we as a country can support them the way we should,” Stephens said.
