VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Vincennes University has announced that in response to changes in COVID metrics and trends for the Vincennes campus of the university, they will be placing a temporary pause in face-to-face instruction.

The pause will last for the four days following the Martin Luther King Jr Day extended holiday weekend, Jan. 18, 19, 20, and 21. Other campuses will continue instruction as usual, and off-campus activities will not be impacted by the shift.

All other campus facilities and support services such as residence halls, the dining center, library, and administrative buildings will remain open during this time. Students will receive instruction from faculty members regarding specific delivery instructions for their courses.

University officials will continue to closely monitor guidance and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control, Indiana Department of Health, and relevant county health departments.

Classes are scheduled to resume in-person instruction on Monday, Jan. 24. as well as other on-campus experiences like events and activities returning with appropriate health and safety protocols in place.
