VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Vincennes Community School Corporation will be offering free meals for the 2022-2023 school year.

Free meals will be made available to all children in kindergarten through 12th grade in all Vincennes Community School Corporation buildings. Meals will be provided to all children without charge, and meals will be the same for all children.

Students will be eligible for a free breakfast and lunch while the program is in place.

“I can’t tell you how excited I am about it,” Area General Manager for Sodexo Mike Szady said. “We know the importance of getting children fueled and ready to go to school and this is a great opportunity. I think it provides a great opportunity for a lot of families to supplement their budget.”

Families that receive textbook assistance will still need to fill out the Free and Reduced Lunch application to receive that assistance, however.

A link to that form can be found on the Vincennes Community School Corporation’s website here.
