VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Drivers in Vincennes Indiana will need to avoid a portion of Washington Avenue beginning Monday, Jan 24.

Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum said that the section of Washington Avenue located between Emison Avenue and Niblack Boulevard will be closed for repairs following a water line project.

It’s expected to take up to five days for crews to install road patches along the stretch. Should the weather cooperate, Yochum cautioned, the road could open more quickly. But asked residents to expect the road to remain closed until Friday, Jan. 28.
