VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A man was taken into custody Wednesday by Vincennes police after leading multiple officers on a chase which found him traveling over 90 mph, the Vincennes Police Department reported.
Police were attempting to pull over a gray 2012 Chevrolet Malibu on Highway 41 near the 67 overpass at approximately 1:40 p.m. The vehicle then headed south on 6th St. before turning west onto St. Clair, south onto 3rd St. and then east onto College Ave. The Malibu struck another vehicle at 4th and College before coming to a stop at 6th and college.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, Dorion Culpepper of Indianapolis, was taken into custody without incident. Culpepper was found to have never received a driver’s license and was also in possession of a small amount of marijuana, and was arrested for resisting law enforcement, driving without a license, reckless driving, possession of marijuana and leaving the scene of an accident. He was issued several citations for traffic violations, as well.
No one was injured in the collision.
