Vincennes Police arrest man for stealing Knox County EMS vehicle

VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Vincennes Police reported that they arrested a man Thursday morning for stealing a Knox County EMS vehicle.

The vehicle was reported stolen at 9:30 a.m., which set area law enforcement diligently searching the county for it. Community tips led officers to a spot near Lincoln High School at approximately 9:51 a.m. An attempt to pull the vehicle over resulted in a short pursuit that ended near Hart St. and Spring Meadow Ct., where the vehicle got stuck.

The driver, Kevin Eads, was taken into custody. He was found to be wanted on four felony warrants and one misdemeanor warrant. Eads was charged with auto theft and resisting law enforcement (both level 6 felonies), theft (a level 5 felony) and driving while suspended (a class-A misdemeanor).
