VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A second juvenile has been taken into custody following an investigation into the May 17 shots fired incident in the Lester Square area of Vincennes.

On that day, police said a vehicle pulled up to the intersection of 9th and Church streets, and the passenger in the car reportedly fired a gun several times. No one was injured in the incident. On May 18, Police announced the arrest of a juvenile suspect following assistance from witnesses in the area.

According to police, additional investigation following the initial arrest led police to a second juvenile that was arrested on Tuesday, May 23 in connection to the incident.

Both juveniles are being held in the Southwest Indiana Regional Youth Village

Vincennes Police said they were assisted in the investigation by the Knox County Sheriff’s High Tech Crime Unit, the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office, and Knox County Probation.
