VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A two-vehicle crash in Vincennes Thursday night led to one man’s arrest for driving under the influence while transporting a passenger younger than 18.
The accident occurred around 9:23 p.m. at Washington Avenue and Carbon Street.
According to Indiana State Police, Housman R. Paz, 45, was driving without headlights when he rear-ended another vehicle. Paz’s 10-year-old son was in the backseat at the time.
Paz showed signs of impairment, and an investigation revealed he had a blood alcohol content of .25%.
No injuries were reported at the time of the accident. The boy was released to his mother.
Paz was arrested at the scene and transported to the Knox County Jail pending posting of bond.
