VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Christmas will be slightly more interactive this year at Vincennes’ Gregg Park, with Christmas in the Park becoming a drive-thru event rather than a parade Friday and Saturday from 6–9 p.m.
Instead of the parade driving past attendees, you will be driving by the parade from the warmth of your own vehicle. Spectators should enter the park at the Washington Ave. entrance closest to Niblack Blvd., then circle around the park to view 20 displays as well as decorated lamp posts.
There will be a live nativity scene and Santa will be on hand both evenings. In order to keep Santa healthy for Christmas, there will be no sitting on his lap this year. Children can bring letters for Santa for him to read later.
