VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The City of Vincennes announced its 2021 curbside leaf pick-up schedule. Residents are asked to keep leaf piles clear of limbs and other objects.
The schedule will begin on Nov. 8. Once the schedule is complete, all neighborhoods will be covered a second time through the end of the year. After Dec. 30, all leaves will need to be bagged for pick up.
The initial schedule is as follows:
- Week 1: St. Claire Avenue to Niblack Boulevard from Oliphant Drive to Wheeler Road area No pick-up will be held on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11.
- Week 2: 1st Street to Kimmell Road from Hart Street to St. Claire Avenue; Jackson Height and Wolfe Hollow area
- Week 3: Main Street to Hart Street from 1st Street to Felt King Road (including Memering Yates area); Weed Lane; Burnette Heights and Forrest Hills area.
- Week 4: Willow Street to Main Street from South 2nd Street to South 18th Street; Bunker Hill area; Four Lakes Area; and Eastgate Area (including all streets off of Bruceville and Wheatland Roads and Old U.S. 50 within city limits). No pick-up will be held on Nov. 25 and 26 due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
The day-by-day schedule is tentative and subject to change.
The city’s collection site on Old Terre Haute Road will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for residents to dump their own leaves, limbs and other yard debris.
