Vigo County K-9 officer Kaiser has died

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Vigo County Sheriff John Plasse released a statement Monday evening saying a K-9 officer with the Sheriff’s Office has died.

The statement read that on July 4, K-9 officer Kaiser got out of the fenced-in area of his handler’s home. Kaiser ran from the immediate area and was struck by a vehicle.

Kaiser served with the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office for two years.
