Local News

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — After the Indiana Gaming Commission voted unanimously to deny Lucy Luck’s request for a casino license renewal last week, it has now re-opened the application to the public.

Interested parties will be required to pay an application fee of $50,000. Current Indiana licensed casinos licenses holders will still be required to submit a new application and pay the fee if interested in the Vigo County license; however, they will have the opportunity to cross-reference their existing application on file with IGC.

The IGC also noted that interested applicants will be required to submit a proposal, and that all submitted proposals will be publicly disclosable documents.

“The Commission is committed to ensuring that the applicant selected for the Vigo County casino meets or exceeds all applicable standards and presents the highest potential for successful operation of a casino,” the IGC said. “It is a top priority Commission to issue this license as expeditiously as possible.
