TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, group is planning the return of one popular Halloween event after cancelling the event in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s community “Trunk or Treat” event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 25 in the Vigo County Annex’s north parking lot. The event will feature food, children’s activities, games and prizes.
The theme for this year’s trunk or treat event is your favorite Disney or Pixar animated movie. The event is free and open to all ages.
COVID-19 protocols will be in place at the event, according to a news release. Cars will be lined up in the parking lot with open trunks full of candy for children to trick or treat with.
CASA volunteers will be running the event and are currently accepting donations for candy which can be dropped off at the CASA offices or by contacting a CASA volunteer. If interested in being a trunk for the event, contact the CASA office for details on how to sign up or call (812) 231-5658.
