VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County CASA is doing its part to make sure every child in the community is able to have a great Christmas.
“Whoville” is an annual event put on by the Vigo County CASA for the children. There are Christmas tree’s in different locations around the county including the annex, Panera Bread, the Meadows and Little Bear Coffee.
Each Christmas tree has tags on them that provide directions towards providing a special Christmas for a child in the community.
“When you see a Christmas tree you can go up to that Christmas tree and grab a tag,” Anna Watkin, community liaison for CASA, said. “It gives all the directions on there and you can go to a store. You get the gift and you can bring it to Vigo County CASA office which inside the annex.”
Watkin said the group’s goal is to make sure no child is left without having a gift to open.
