VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Vigo County 911 has issued a wind advisory until 4 a.m. Friday. West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are forecast. The threat’s severity is considered “Moderate,” with a possible threat to life or property.

Motorists are advised to use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Homeowners are recommended to secure outdoor objects.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Counties affected include Vigo, Clay, Vermillion, Johnson, Warren, Putnam, Madison, Rush, Fountain, Marion, Boone, Clinton, Randolph, Morgan, Henry, Parke, Hamilton, Tippecanoe, Shelby, Hendricks, Montgomery, Hancock, Delaware, Howard, Owen, Carroll and Tipton.
