TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Vigo County Education Foundation will be awarding a total of $90,076.53 to be split up into 150 mini-grants that will go towards education enrichment opportunities across Vigo County schools.
The funding will be presented at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23 during an event held in the VCSC board room.
“All of these mini-grants are made for $750 or less, and it is amazing to see what great teachers are able to accomplish with that amount of money,” says Jane Nichols, Executive Director of the Vigo County Education Foundation.
The funding is being provided after teachers in the community requested support for the new school year.
