TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County History Center is offering a couple of summer programs for kids in the area to participate in and enjoy.
There will be two programs, one designed for children ages 2-5 and the other aimed at children ages 11-14.
For children ages 2-5, the Vigo County History Center is offering the Thursday Tots program which includes an interactive guided tour through the exhibits followed by history-themed crafts and story time. In addition, all tots will receive a free ice cream sundae from the Apgar Soda Shop.

The Thursday Tots program will take place starting June 15 and lasting until July 20 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Vigo County History Center on Thursdays.
The cost of each visit is $10 per adult while admission for tots and members is free.
For children ages 11-14, the Junior Time Travelers History-Photo Walking Tour allows participants to choose either the Wednesday or Friday classes between June 14 – July 7 from 4:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Weather permitting, the tour group will meet at the Vigo County History Center where participants are encouraged to bring their cameras or use their phones to take photos of historic downtown Terre Haute.
Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate, at $15 per youth, and chaperones are admitted free.
The tour includes an 8×10 photo of the tour experience and all participants are welcome to enjoy a pizza party during a gallery display of the tour experience photos on July 14 at 4:00 p.m.
