VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County Election Board met on Friday to certify the results of the municipal election.

The Vigo County municipal election took place on November 7, and this morning the board met to review provisional ballots and decide whether or not to approve or deny them.

They had about 30 provisional ballots to go through and many of those were cast by people who wanted to vote in the city election but were registered in the county so those were denied. You must be registered in the city to vote in the city election.

After taking action on the provisional ballots, the board certified the results of the election.
