VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A celebration of National Adoption Day will be held by the Vigo County CASA for families who have adopted or are in the process of adopting.

According to a release from Vigo County CASA Director, Glenna Cheesman, the event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 4 at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum. 

The day will include a proclamation read by Mayor Duke Bennett, activities for kids like face painting, balloon characters, goodie bags, magic performances, special guest characters, food from IHOP and Chick-fil-A, and fun at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum.

Many community partners and sponsors have worked together to launch the celebration including Aplus Printing, Firefly, the Indiana Adoption Program, Vigo County CASA, the Department of Child Services, the Vigo County Circuit/Superior Court Division 3, and Bites & Blessings.
