VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County CASA is holding a Dignity Drive for children in need around the community.
The Dignity Drive works to gather undergarments for children around the community. The event started on October 1 and will last all month through October 31. People in the community are welcome to donate items like underwear, socks, and diapers in all sizes from babies to adults.

Many of the children that CASA serves are from low-income homes and may not have easy access to these items. According to a CASA press release, often when a child is removed from their home, they are taken with the clothes they have on at the time, very little of their items or none at all.
The donated items will then be delivered during the CASA Christmas event where children will receive the undergarments along with shoes, pillows, pillowcases, blankets, and other hygiene products.
For those interested in donating, the items can be dropped off at the CASA offices or contact CASA to host a drop-off location.
