TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Area veterans became part of history Wednesday as they signed a beam at the construction site of the new Terre Haute VA Clinic.

Veteran Health Indiana hosted the “Topping Out” event for the $40 million facility that will have the ability to provide primary care and mental health services to as many as 10,000 veterans. The clinic is on track to open in the fall of 2021.

Services at the facility will include basic imaging, physical therapy, optometry, telehealth, audiology, home-based care and other support services.

The lease was awarded to Hokanson Companies, Inc., a firm with more than 80 years of experience in developing projects. The Hokanson team includes Nika Solutions, architects and Doster Construction, general contractor.
