TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– The Terre Haute Convention Center hosted a blood drive on Wednesday as organizations around the state try to continue to combat a blood shortage.

The Versiti Blood Center welcomed residents from 2:45-6:00 p.m. to donate blood. A spokesperson for the organization said because blood cannot be manufactured they rely on community members to come out and ensure safe and adequate blood supply.

Information about future opportunities to donate can be found on the Versiti Blood Center website.
