TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — United Campus Ministries is scheduled to hold its 30th annual barbecue fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 12 at Central Presbyterian Church in Terre Haute, Ind., as a drive-through event.
Adult meals will cost $10 including either a pulled pork or pulled chicken sandwich, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw and a cookie. Meanwhile, a $5 kid’s meal includes a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, macaroni and cheese, applesauce and a cookie.
Also available are pounds of pulled pork for $10 and a family meal pack for $35. Event proceeds will go toward United Campus Ministries, an ecumenical ministry at 321 N. Seventh St. that operates a food pantry for students at Indiana State University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, St. Mary-of-the-Woods College and Ivy Tech.
Tickets for the event can be preordered at https://ucm.betterworld.org. To enter the drive-through lane to pick up meals, turn from Seventh Street onto Larry Bird Avenue and then into the alley behind the church. Meals can also be ordered and paid for, either by cash or check, the day of the event.
