United Campus Ministries hosting Chili Fest Sunday, silent auction now through March 15

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — United Campus Ministries will host its annual Chili Fest on Sunday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at St. Mark’s United Church of Christ, 475 S. Fruitridge Ave. It’s also hosting an online silent auction, which began Monday and will continue through March 15.

The COVID-19 pandemic prevented the ministry from having its annual fall barbecue, so it’s really looking forward to this event.

“It’s caused a lot of struggle, not having that fall fundraiser, so to find a way to manage and make it happen for this spring fundraiser, I’m very excited,” said campus minister Dawn Black. The ministry is run entirely on donations.

Cars will drive up through St. Mark’s Parking lot for chili and other food. There will be two lines — one for people who ordered tickets in advance and the other for those who want to place day-of orders.
