WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Police are still searching for a suspect following a shooting Saturday night that left two people injured in Western Vigo County.
According to a Facebook post from the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, a call came in around 11:30 Saturday night at the AMVETS building in West Terre Haute. The preliminary investigation found an unknown suspect fired into a large crowd in the dance hall. Two people were shot, and both were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. While the identities of the victims were not released, neither were from Vigo County or ISU students.
The suspect has not yet been identified, and the investigation is ongoing. This article will be updated with more information as it comes out.
