SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Sullivan house is considered a loss after an early morning fire.

The call came in at 1:51 a.m. reporting a fire on the 100 block of E. Giles street, said Sullivan City Fire Chief Rob Robertson. The call had originally reported there were two individuals trapped inside, but fire officials found the residents had made it out safely through a window with no injuries, the chief said.

The house was on fire when firefighters got there. It took them roughly three and a half hours to get it under control and clear the scene. Numerous other surrounding agencies assisted. A cause has not been determined.
