PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Update: The two people that died in a Parke County house fire on March 29 have been identified.
According to the Parke County Coroner, Dr. Donna McVay, the two victims are 51-year-old Bonnie Coss and 70-year-old Sally Waggoner.
McVay said that Coss and Waggoner were mother and daughter.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Original: A house fire in Parke County resulted in the death of two people and two dogs on March 29.
According to the Parke County Sheriff’s office, the fire was reported near North 790 West Kingman. Multiple emergency services responded to the scene, including the Parke County Coroner’s Office, Cayuga Fire Department, Kingsman Fire Department, and the Perrysville Fire Department.
After crews were able to control the fire, they found the victims, and an autopsy was scheduled at the Terre Haute Regional Hospital for Thursday.
The victims’ names will not be released until identification has been confirmed and the family has been notified.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Indiana State Fire Marshall.
