VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Two people have been injured and utility poles damaged following a two vehicle crash in Vigo County Tuesday.
According to Honey Creek Fire Chief Tom High, the crash occurred around 10 a.m. at the intersection of McDaniel Road and E. Woodsmall Drive.

WIN Energy REMC COO Leslie Beard says initially more than 500 customers were without power as a result of the damaged lines, however the company was able to reroute power that would restore power to all but 115 customers.
Beard said the pole will need to be replaced among other repairs. She expects the remaining customers to be without power for approximately 4-5 hours as repairs are completed.

The crash would leave one vehicle overturned. Chief High said that both drivers were transported to Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries. Neither vehicle contained any passengers.
In addition to Honey Creek Fire, the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
