DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – One person was arrested following a vehicle pursuit by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office that traveled into Daviess and Martin counties.

It all started at the Coop gas station on State Road 58 in Bloomfield just before 5 p.m, according to a news release from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers received a call reporting two suspicious people trying to sell a vehicle to gas station customers.

When officers arrived, the pair drove off.

Police say the driver refused to stop, traveling onto U.S. 231, driving into a yard, and nearly hitting a patrol car at one point.

The vehicle crashed on County Road 950 North when the driver missed a 90-degree turn.

Police had to break the windshield and release a chemical agent to get the suspects out of the vehicle.

Jonathan Jordan and Ashley Kleinhans were taken to Greene County General Hospital.  Jordan was arrested.  The passenger was released for medical reasons.
