TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Two men have been arrested following what police described as a low-speed pursuit through the streets of Terre Haute.
According to Terre Haute Police, the incident began with an attempted traffic stop at 4:06 a.m. near the intersection of N. 19th and Buckeye Streets. The vehicle was reportedly driving without headlights among other infractions.
“The pursuit traveled at slow speeds east to N. 25th St. and then south through the city until the vehicle came to a stop near the intersection of S. 15th St. and Poplar St.,” A THPD Facebook post reads.
Once the vehicle stopped, two Terre Haute men were arrested without further incident.
The driver, Benjamin T. Hendrickson, 23, faces a preliminary charge of resisting law enforcement. The passenger, Tevin L. Allen, 29, was arrested for an active felony warrant for possessing a stolen firearm.
Both men were taken to the Vigo County Jail.
